Witches Under Way by Debora Geary 5/5 Star Review

My thoughts:

I am so totally hooked on the WitchLight series! I have read all five novels, A Modern Witch, A Hidden Witch, A Reckless Witch, Witches on Parole, and now Witches Under Way. I have enjoyed every single one of them. In each one I have both cried and laughed out loud. Debora Geary creates such wonderful believable characters and so much more. What draws me in is the relationship between all the characters. When I read these novels I get such a strong feeling of love, support, and belonging. I feel like I know them so well and I belong to the community. Hey, I even feel like I could create a little magic of my own! I can hardly wait for the next release.

Children of the Fog by Cheryl Kaye Tardif

Children of the Fog, by Cheryl Kaye Tardif is a beautifully written suspenseful thriller, mixed with a little paranormal.

Sadie, the protagonist, is a successful author, loving mother, devoted wife, and a sober alcoholic with an adulterous spouse. She seems to be handling life well until her six year old son is kidnapped by a man known only as The Fog. What follows is a roller coaster ride of emotions and human behavior as Sadie struggles with the loss of her son, spiraling downward into the depths of depression and yet desperately hanging on to hope.

A lot of novels claim to be page turners, but this novel definitely deserves to be in that category. The only thing that will suffer from this novel is your family’s dinner because you won’t be able to put the novel down long enough. Send out for Chinese take-out!

I found Breathless by Scott Prussing to be very entertaining. According to Rene Fountain, “Breathless breathes new life into the vampire genre.” I didn’t believe it possible with all the vampire novels that have been published over the last few years. But you know what? Rene Fountain was right!

I enjoyed Prussing’s character development and his descriptive style. You got a great sense of who and what the characters were all about without being bogged down by over description. I found myself totally immersed in the characters and the setting. It definitely took me back to my college days, except for one thing. I really wish my college had offered a vampire science class!

Breathless is full of passion, romance, danger, unique characters, (including a one fanged vampire) and plenty of action. What more could you ask for!
